Monty to play in Open European International Final Qualifier

Colin Montgomerie will compete in the Open's European International Final Qualifier next month for the first time in six years.
The European Ryder Cup captain, 334th on the world rankings, has submitted his entry for the 36-hole shoot-out at Sunningdale as he chases a place in the 150th anniversary championship at the Old course, St Andrews in July.
Montgomerie, 46, last competed in the IFQ contest in 2004. A year later, the former European No 1 finished runner-up to Tiger Woods in the battle for the Claret Jug at St Andrews.
