Paul Brookes (66) wins Midland Alliance at Arbroath Links

The individual scratch prize in this week's Midland Golfers Alliance J B Motor Company Team competition at a sunny Arbroath Links was won by Pitreavie professional Paul Brookes.
He won by four shots with a two-under-par score of 66. There was a three-way tie at the top of the handicap leaderboard, captain of the Midlands, Ron Beatt (Scotscraig), playing off 12, Chris Westland (Alloa) (11) and Hugh Hunter (Alloa) (10) all scoring net 68s.
Ron also led his team - Bob Redpath (Scotscraig) (4) and Alistair Cameron (Blairgowrie) (13) to victory in the team competition with a score of 58.
