Fairways Target Golf Leagues Week 6

MONDAY LEAGUE REPORT
Once again the frosty weather made it a tricky task keeping the balls in the targets on Monday night but it did make for some exciting viewing.
League leaders Orion maintained their position at the head of affairs with an easy two points as the Neverwillbees didn’t field a team, but their nearest challengers both won their games as well to keep up the pressure.
BM Trucks beat the Sainties and the Parahandies, who top scored with just 29, defeated the Specialists. These three teams are now guaranteed to be in the top half when the split comes after next Monday’s games.
The most exciting battle will be for the final spot in the top half which is currently occupied by the Royal Swingers. They are just two points ahead of the Specialists, whom the play next week, and with their shots scored tally almost the same it will be a winner-takes-all crunch game.
At the foot of the table the Sainties are still yet to score but with a total of four games still to be played in the league they still have plenty time to avoid the wooden spoon.

TUESDAY NIGHT REPORT
The icy conditions continued for the Tuesday teams and it was the Mad Drivers who made the most of the slippery conditions to post the night’s top score. Their performance belied their lowly league position and the result lifted them from the foot of the table as they leapfrogged their opposition Fairways.
At the other end of the table the Luckless Leadbetters' poor run of form continued as they lost to league leaders Kenyon’s Klan, a result that puts the Leadbetters in danger of failing to make the top half after the split and leaves the Klan two points clear at the top.
Fairhurst Fore are hot on the heels on Kenyon’s Klan with another solid victory of the Senior Moments and they are joined by the Muirton Marvels who had the closest of battles with the Coastguards winning by just one shot.
