E-mail from Fraser Fotheringham in Australia
Hi Colin,
Thanks for keeping track of my results so far. I'm starting to hit the ball close to my best now even after a ice age of a Christmas.
I felt very rusty at Lake Mcaquarie but played better than the scores showed at Newcastle and Muree. I just didn't covert the opportunities.
I saw that NSW sent you pictures of wildlife but I have only seen a couple snakes, no koalas and loads of kangaroos but on the practice round at Newcastle I saw a very large head looking at me from the tall grass on the eighth tee.
I thought it was a huge snake but when it decided to turn around and bolt in the woods I realised it was a komodo dragon. That's what the locals said when I described what I saw. I wouldn't have thought I will be seeing one again on this trip but I'll have the camera in the bag if that time does come.
