Fairways Target Leagues Play-offs

The Playoffs didn’t quite match the nerve-tingling finish of the leagues but it was the form horse that took top honours. Both Luckless Leadbetters and Loch Ness Juniors had seen a dip in form in recent weeks and normally solid and high scoring play has been missing.
This proved to be the case as they finished a distant third and fourth with the Juniors putting together their lowest score for many years.
BM Trucks took runners-up spot with a creditable 46 but it was King Kenyon’s Klan who got their name on the Fairways Leisure Shield with a fine 66, comfortably taking their first, of probably several, titles.
Scores:
King Kenyon's Klan 66
BM Trucks 46
Luckless Leadbetters 43
Loch Ness Juniors 19

The Captains Cup was a high-scoring affair with the unusual highlight of all captains scoring! Three players broke the 30 barrier, something that normally guarantees a win but it was Greg Forsyth (King Kenyon’s Klan) and Jamie Treasurer (Loch Ness Juniors) who had to lick their wounds as the good form of the BM Trucks team continued with Neil Hampton taking top spot with a magnificent total of 39.
Scores:
Neil Hampton (BM Trucks) 39
Jamie Treasurer (Loch Ness Juniors) 33
Greg Forsyth (King Kenyon’s Klan) 30
Andy Leil (Trilight) 19
David Mitchell (Sainties) 19
Gordie Ross (Neverwillbees) 16
Chris MacRae (Coastguards) 14
Billy MacMillan (Luckless Leadbetters) 11
Gavin Benson (3 Men and a Caddy) 8
James Balloch (Senior Moments) 2

The Spring season gets underway week beginning Monday 11th January and there is always room for more teams so if you are interested contact Neil or Charlie at Fairways on 01463 713335 or info@golflochness.com
