MURCAR LINKS PLAYER LIKELY

TO BEAT CUT AT SUNSHINE TOUR

Q SCHOOL IN SOUTH AFRICA

Murcar Links member Callum Trahan has returned scores of 75, 73 and 74 for a six-over-par tally of 222 in the Sunshine Tour Qualifying school over the Vaal de Grace and Parys courses in South Africa.
Young Trahan, pictured, playing as an amateur, is lying joint 36th at Parys Golf & Country Estate while a similar total at the other venue is joint 28th.
He looks safe to be among the combined leading 80 and ties who qualify after Friday's fourth round for a final round at Vaal de Grace at the end of which the leading 35 will be ranked for playing rights at the 2010 Sunshine Tour..
Other Scots, all at Vaal de Grace, are not doing so well. Entered as professionals, Allan Wilson is on 228 (73-73-82), Steven Morgan on 229 (76-78-75) and James Erksine 231 (76-76-79).
