Renfrewshire Golf Union has announced the squad which will form the county team for its “must win” match against Clackmannanshire on Sunday, September 20 at Erskine Golf Club.
Bryan Adam of Paisley GC has been added to the squad following his county stroke-play championship win and Michael Dailly, the 2008 Menzies Trophy winner who has had a solid season, has also been included - perhaps partly because Erskine is his home course and he will know all its secrets.
Team captain Murdo Carmichael of Greenock Golf Club stressed that victory over Clackmannanshire was required if the Renfrewshire team was going to make it to the Scottish finals at Crail in October. He was confident that his team has what it takes to secure the victory.

The full Renfrewshire squad is:
Craig Watson (East Renfrewshire)
Andrew Farmer (Kilmacolm)
Matthew Clark (Kilmacolm)
Ronnie Clark (Erskine)
Gordon Stevenson (Whitecraigs) (pictured)
Bryan Adam (Paisley)
Michael Dailly (Erskine)
