Enter the Braemar Open on July 4

- and enjoy the mountain scenery

The Braemar Golf Club 36-hole open, one of most popular summer two-round tournaments in the North-east for many years, is in danger of being axed from the golfing calendar because of a steady, annual fall-off in entries.
It is a counting event in the North-east District order of merit but attracted only 40 entries last year.
This year's event is heading for an even lower figure which would spell the death knell of a once popular tournament. It might even be cancelled unless there is a sharp upsurge.
The date of the tournament this year is Saturday, July 4.
Entries will be accepted on 013397 41595.
The magnificent mountain scenery at one of the highest above sea level courses in Britain is a bonus when you play golf at Braemar.
