Redford and Boyle tie for

victory at Brunston Castle

Stuart Boyle (Harburn) had a two-stroke lead at the end of the first round of the Scottish Golf Union Junior Tour Event 4 over 36 holes at Brunston Castle Golf Club, Ayrshire today.
But he was caught over the second round by Ian Redford (St Andrews New). Both finished on the four-over-par 148 mark, Boyle with rounds of 72 and 76, Redford with 75 and 73.
Redford, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, had an eagle 3 at the ninth in his second-round halves of 37-36. Boyle had a double bogey 6 at the 12th in his second-round halves of 36-40.
Brora's Calum Stewart who shared third place with Daniel Young (Craigie Hill) on 149 had a double bogey 6 at the 14th in his second-round 74.
Scottish boys' match-play champion David Law (Hazlehead) shared ninth place on nine-over-par 153 with Paul McPhee (King James VI).
