LOCKIE HAS TWO SHOTS TO

MAKE UP IN DEFENCE OF

PGA CLUB SENIORS TITLE

Defending champion Bill Lockie (North Gailes) goes into Friday's final round of the PGA Senior Club Professional Championship in second place, just two shots off the lead at Northants County Golf Club.
Lockie, pictured right, has had rounds of 72 and 70 for a two-over-par tally of 142. The man he has to catch will be playing partner George Ryall from Bristol. Ryall has scored 73 and 67 for 140.
Other Scots who survived the cut were: Alan Hemsley (Norfolk) 144, John McTear (Mar Hall) 145, Bill McColl (Leigh Driving Range) 145, Garry Harvey (Kinross) 145, John Heggarty (Royal Liverpool) and Frank Kiddie (Hawkstone Park), both 148, Alastair Webster (Edzell), who shot a second-round 68 to make it with two shots to spare on 150, Duncan Williamson (Kirkhill) and Graham Laing (North Wilts), both 151.
