Tom Galloway laid to rest
at Douglas Bank Cemetry

Tom Galloway's funeral was held today at Limekilns Parish Church and he was laid to rest at the Douglas Bank Cemetery. His family and friends gathered afterwards at Dunfermline Golf Club, to celebrate his long and eventful life.
Edinburgh & East of Scotland Alliance members helped celebrate Tom's life in a couple of ways. At the funeral service and burial we were represented by a number of its senior members. At the insistence of his family, members took part in the re-scheduled E&EoS outing at Dunfermline Golf Club.
Colin Farquharson writes:
Tom told me he was 98 when he made the presentations at last year's Scottish Alliance championship, hosted by Moray Golf Club at Lossiemouth.
He went round in 110 and 106 in the first two rounds but stopped after 11 holes of his final round.
"It was a bit wet and I was feeling tired. I think it's the first time I've ever had a No Return in a Scottish Alliance," said Tom.
He was a remarkable man who was still as full of vitality and love of golf in his 90s as he was when he wore a younger man's clothes.
