Fairways Target Golf Leagues, Inverness

WEEK SEVEN
MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE
The Monday night league has developed an inevitable look about it with three games still to be played. The Neverwillbees benefited from the bye and retained their joint top position with the Loch Ness Juniors who top scored in their match against Trilight.
That left BM Trucks the only ones in touching distance but their meager form continued as they could only draw, an unusual result in itself, against bottom team Matthew MacPherson. These results leave MacPherson still adrift at the bottom albeit a little closer to Trilight and BM Trucks still have an outside chance of the playoffs although they will need some serious help from other teams as well as a turn around in form.

BM Trucks 35 – 35 Matthew MacPherson
Loch Ness Juniors 76 – 29 Trilight
The Neverwillbees (Bye) 49.

TUESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE

In the Tuesday league there was no surprises in the final games as both the leading contenders won their matches and took their places in the Playoffs. The Luckless Leadbetters got their name on the Fairways Leisure Shield with an extremely comfortable win over the Coastguards who couldn’t find the win that would have put Fairways under pressure for the vital second spot in the table.
The Leadbetters finished the season unbeaten and will be favourites for the Playoffs in 3 weeks time. Fairways did enough, just, against an improving Pat’s Pet’s side who have certainly got the hang of Target Golf and will be a solid team in the Spring League. Tag Team couldn’t capitalize on the loss by the Pet’s, going down themselves to the Sainties and thus taking the wooden spoon. With Fairhurst Fore beating the Muirton Marvels the Marvels drop from 4th to 6th in the final table and Fairhurst jump up one place from 5th to 4th.

Fairhurst 45 – 33 Muirton Marvels
Pat’s Pets 43 – 53 Fairways
Tag Team 24 – 59 The Sainties
Luckless Leadbetters 66 – 13 Coastguards.

The Top Team Playoffs and Captains Cup take place on Wednesday 17th December at 7.30pm
