Fairways Target Golf Leagues' Week 6
MONDAY NIGHT REVIEW
Monday night saw a decisive game as the Neverwillbees defeated BM Trucks to move 2 points ahead of them and stay joint top of the table with Loch Ness Juniors who benefited from the bye this week. There are still 4 games to go and the Juniors still have to play the Trucks and the Neverwillbees but with the Juniors current form, they top scored with 73 this week, the battle will be for the second play-off place and the Trucks will need some help from the other teams if they are to pass the Neverwillbees.
At the other end of the table Matthew MacPherson finds himself 4 points adrift at the bottom courtesy of a defeat at the hands of the his nearest team, Trilight, who have strung together a little run of scores and form which still gives them an outside chance of the playoffs.

TUESDAY NIGHT REVIEW
The Luckless Leadbetters needed all their luck on Tuesday against Fairhurst Fore with a narrow 5 shot victory that preserved their unbeaten record and kept them clear at the top. Fairways produced their second highest total of the season to dispatch a gallant performance from the Sainties to remain clear in second spot just 2 points behind the Leadbetters.
With just one game remaining it looks like Leadbetters title as their superior shots scored record should see them through even if they lose next week and the same goes for Fairways who are almost guaranteed their play off spot for the same reason even if the Coastguards join them on the same points total.
In the wooden spoon battle Pat’s Pet’s will feel hard done by with their 3 shot loss to Muirton Marvels which keeps them in the bottom two but now not in last place as Tag Team are favourite’s for the spoon given their dismal score this week which allowed Pat’s Pet’s to leapfrog them. Muirton Marvels are now up to 4th place 2 points ahead of Fairhurst and the Sainties.
