Castle Heather, Inverness Fairways Target
Golf Leagues

MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE
It's all change at the top of the Monday night league and one team should consider changing their name. The Neverwillbees became the Justmightbees after a stunning performance that jumped them up from third to first.
Their first 3 weeks efforts gave no indication of what was about to happen and the poor Matthew MacPherson team didn’t know what hit them as the Neverwillbees more that double their total points score with and incredible tally of 94 – three times more that the MacPherson could accumulate.
Last week's leaders BM Trucks fell to the Juniors in a relatively low scoring encounter with the Juniors long game proving decisive as they outscored the Trucks in the furthest, and highest scoring, target.
These pushed the Juniors onto the same points total as the Trucks and the Neverwillbees with only the shots scored totals separating the teams.
Trilight had the bye this week and still scored a creditable 48 to keep them in touch with the leading group. Matthew MacPherson still finds himself on the bottom and with next week's match against the Juniors could have a tough time ahead.
Matthew MacPherson 31 – 94 The Neverwillbees
BM Trucks 33 – 41 Loch Ness Juniors.
Trilight (Bye) 48.

TUESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE

Midway through the Tuesday night league it looks like a 3 horse race for the 2 places in the playoffs. Both Fairways and Luckless Leadbetters maintained their unbeaten records with wins over Tag Team and The Sainties respectively but no one could say that these teams are unbeatable given their scores in the first 4 games.
The Coastguards have just the one defeat on their record, at the hands of Fairways, so are snapping at the heals of the top two and as Fairways take on the Leadbetters next week we could see a decisive move by one of the teams.
The Sainties are now 4 points adrift of the top and with just 3 games left need to find their scoring boots, and a bit of help from the other teams if they are to challenge for the play-offs. Fairhurst finally got off the mark with a win over fellow bottom feeders Pat’s Pet’s and with Muirton Marvels and Tag Team also on just 2 points the race for the wooden spoon could be equally as exciting as the race for the top.

Pat’s Pets 12 – 59 Fairhurst.
Coastguards 54 – 23 Muirton Marvels.
Tag Team 21 – 31 Fairways.
Luckless Leadbetters 63 – 32 The Sainties.
