Thornton pip Cowglen, Hamilton
for Scottish club championship

Thornton Golf Club, Fife won the Manor Oak Scottish club team championship in a very tight finish at Windyhill Golf Club, Glasgow today.
Thornton totalled 292, only one shot better than joint runners-up Cowglen and Hamilton.
Another three teams, Murcar Links, Dumfries & Galloway and Dollar, tied for fourth place on 295, one shot ahead of Falkirk Tryst and Bearsden in joint sixth place.
