Leading qualifier Gordon Stevenson
says on top form at St Andrews

Gordon Stevenson (Whitecraigs), the leading qualifier for the match-play stages of the Eden Trophy tournament at St Andrews, won his first two ties by 7 and 6 over D Rogerson (Portal Premier) and by 5 and 3 against R McLeod (Elderslie).
McLeod had beaten M Betts (Vicars Creoss) on the 18th green in the first round.
Kevin Duncan (McDonald Ellon) bt G Cree (Troon Welbeck) by 3 and 2 before winning 2 and 1 against D Abbott (Australia).
Daniel Sommerville (St Andrews) went down by one hole to R Thorpe in the second round, having beaten A Robson (Penrith) 4 and 3 in the first round.
Fraser Ogston (St Andrews) beat I Kerr (Peterborough Milton) by 4 and 3 and then won his second-round tie by 7 and 6.
