Peterhead Golf Club Junior Convener.

Pictured above are the victorious Peterhead Golf Club junior golf squad, winners of the Aberdeen and District Junior Pennant League.
They defeated Hazlehead in the final at Kings Links, Aberdeen. The contest could not have been any closer and ended when Peterhead secured a 1/2 point on the 17th green of the final match to seal a 3 1/2 - 2 1/2 victory.

The result was all the sweeter after losing last year's final to Deeside on a count back. Had this year's final ended 3-3, Peterhead would again have lost on the count back so the last pairings from both clubs played out their last four holes in front of a crowd in excess of 100 spectators, knowing the overall result of the final rested on their shoulders. That's pressure!
Peterhead Golf Club only joined the Aberdeen & District Pennant League in 2006 and the whole club is extremely proud that the team bounced back from last year's heartbreak to win against a really strong Hazlehead team.
