DEESIDE PLAYER FOR EUROPEAN
YOUNG MASTERS IN FRANCE
Deeside's Jack Scott has been named by the Scottish Golf Union to be Scotland's boy representative at the European Young Masters tournament, to be held at Chantilly, France from July 24 to 26.
Scott, who has a handicap of 0.8, finished in the top 20 of the recent English boys' open stroke-play championship for the McGregor Trophy.
Carly Booth (Comrie) is the holder of the European Young Masters' girls' title but this year's event at Chantilly clashes with the last day of the Scottish Under-21 girls' championship at Powfoot. Carly also won that title last year.
In the meantime, the Scottish Ladies Golf Association has not announced their girl representative.
