KEVIN, NEIL OUT OF HUNT
AT GREG NORMAN COURSE
IN NORTH CAROLINA

Kevin Duncan from Ellon, near Aberdeen and Glasgow's Neil McBride, both students at Clayton State University, Atlanta, finished joint 27th and 35th respectively in a field of 45 players for the NCAA Division 2 men's South-east Regional college golf championship at the Greg Norman-designed The Point Lake Golf Club, near Charlotte, North Carolina today.
Duncan (first right) had three rounds of 77 for a total of 231 over the par-72, 7,037yd course. He had four birdies in his final round.
McBride (far right) started the final day in joint 18th place but had a disastrous 85, which included two triple-bogey 7s and a double-bogey 6, after earlier rounds of 75 and 74. His total was 234.
Niclas Johansson (Georgia College) won the individual title by two shots with scores of 71, 71 and 69 for a five-under-par total of 211.
Clayton State (901) finished fourth of eight behind team title winners Georgia College (872).
