Edzell's William Bremner, pictured right, beaten at the 36th hole of last year's Scottish boys' championship final by Paul Ferrier (Baberton), finished joint 24th in a field of 108 for the Berry College Invitational golf tournament at Stonebridge Golf Club, Rome in Georgia.
William, a freshman student at John A Logan College, Carterville in Illinois, had rounds of 73 and 77 for a total of 150 over the par-72, 6835yd course.
He finished nine strokes behind four players who tied for victory on three-under-par 141.
John A Logan College (596) finished sixth in the team event behind Lindenwood University (580).

William Bremner has had a first-round score of par-matching 71 in the Goosepond Spring Fling at Goosepond Colony, Scottsboro in Alabama. William had halves of 36 and 35 for joint third place in a field of 105. He is three shots behind the leader, Bowen Newgent (Walters State Junior College) and one behind second-placed Clay Bounds (Meridian Community College).
