MURRAY ONLY SCOT TO BEAT THE

Former Scottish amateur champion George Murray was the only one of four Scots in the field to survive the 36-hole cut in the Tarheels' Tour's Rivertowne Open at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
Murray from Anstruther had rounds of 74 and 72 for joint 21st place on two-over-par 146, beating the cut by some three shots.
Anther past Scottish title-winner Andrew McArthur failed by one shot with 76 and 74 for 150.
Joel Hendry from Elgin and Duncan Stewart from Grantown on Spey both missed out on the 155 mark.
Joel scored 75 and 80, Duncan 79 and 76.
Dave Buckhart leads the chase for the $18,500 first prize.
The tournament, which has a $118,000 prize fund, ends today with a third and final round.
