NORTH-EAST SCOTLAND GOLFERS FIRST
TO TEST NIKE'S NEW SUMO RANGE
North East golfers were the first in the country to test Nike’s new SUMO golf range on Saturday, February 16 at the Kings Links Golf Centre. One of only two outlets in Scotland in possession of the latest Nike golf range, the Kings Links ran a SUMO Saturday demonstration day which allowed new and existing customers the chance to try out the latest golf range from Nike.
North-east golfers were the first to demo the new drivers, fairway woods and irons from the long-awaited Nike SUMO 2008 range, including the SQ SUMO 5000 and the SQ SUMO² 5900, as used by Tiger Woods.
Talking about the event Paul Girvan, director of golf at Kings Links Golf Centre said: “SUMO Saturday was the perfect opportunity for golfers to take the time to test Nike’s highly anticipated SUMO range. We were delighted to be one of only two outlets in the country to offer the demo day and the turn out and response from customers was fantastic.
“Nike’s innovative ‘square’ line geometric design is now more visually distinctive and the SQ SUMO² features golf’s highest MOI (Moment of Intertia), the term applied to a club head's resistance to twisting when the ball is struck.
“Im sure those who had the chance to try out the new clubs will agree with me in saying that the result is the straightest, most accurate driver Nike has ever produced.”
The Kings Links Golf Centre, situated on Golf Road, Aberdeen (behind Pittodrie) is the largest independent golf retail centre in Scotland and boasts a 56 bay floodlit driving range on two tiers with carpeted bays and the finest quality mats and range balls. The award-winning 3000 sq ft superstore, stocks everything for the beginner to the seasoned golfer. Kings Links is operated by Craig Group Leisure, a division of the Craig Group.
