WOLSTENHOLME HOPES FOR
WALKER CUP COMEBACK
IN 2009 ... THEN A TILT AT
EURO SENIORS' TOUR?

FROM THE DAILY TELEGRAPH GOLF WEBSITE:

Having moved to the Carus Green club in the Lake District after 11 years at Kilworth Springs in Leicestershire, Gary Wolstenholme still hopes to play in his seventh Walker Cup match in 2009. He has been in four winning Cup sides, but was dropped last year - and GB and Ireland lost at Royal County Down.
The big question for Wolstenholme, however, is whether he will turn professional and try to qualify for the Seniors Tour when he turns 50 in two years' time.
Wolstenholme, pictured right, also looks certain this year to add to his record number of more than 200 England appearances, being the oldest member of the English Golf Union's new elite squad; the youngest are teenagers Sam Hutsby, from Liphook, and Dale Whitnell, from Five Lakes in Essex. Whitnell was the 2006 Daily Telegraph junior champion.
Former England international Steve Lewton has earned his Southern Africa tour card.
The Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters will go ahead - at Nizels in Kent on June 27-29 - despite sponsors UBS having dropped out.
England Elite Squad:
