A LIVE CONTENDER TO
MAKE CURTIS CUP
DEBUT IN MAY
Aberdeenshire Michele Thomson boosted her prospects of being chosen by the GB&I Curtis Cup team selectors for the St Andrews match against the United States in late May by finishing third behind the winner, team-mate Liz Bennett from Hampshire, in the South Atlantic Ladies Amateur championship at Oceanside Country Club, Ormond Beach in Florida on Saturday.
Michele moves on to the next Orange Blossom Tour event - the Jones/Doherty match-play tournament at Coral Ridge Country Club, beginning on Monday.
And, of course, the 19-year-old from Ellon (picture right by Cal Carson Golf Agency) was one of the first to enter the Hacienda del Alamo Women's Winter Golf Festival in Murcia, Spain from February 10 to 23 (entries close for the Festival on Tuesday).
