RICHIE RAMSAY MOVES INTO CONTENTION
WITH SECOND-ROUND 66 IN GERMANY

Spain’s Carlos del Moral will return to Golf & Vital Park Bad Waldsee in Germany on Saturday morning seeking to increase his two stroke lead over the field in the fog-delayed second round of the doc Salbe PGA European Challenge.
With six birdies and an eagle in his round, the Spaniard stands on 10 under par with three holes remaining when play resumes at 8.30am. Behind del Moral, the field is bunched up with no fewer than eight players just two off the pace, including first round leader, Martin Wiegele of Austria, who has yet to commence his second round.
Del Moral followed his opening 69 by reaching the turn in 31 and moved to 10 under par when darkness forced play to be suspended for the second successive night. Meanwhile, of those players on eight under, four have completed their second rounds to be handily placed going into the weekend.
Ireland’s Stephen Browne followed an opening 69 with a five under par 67 for an eight under par total of 136 – the same mark as Aberdeen’s Richie Ramsay (66), Sweden’s Mikael Lundberg and Norway’s Jan-Are Larsen.
Ramsay, last year's US Amateur Champion, made the biggest move with his six under par round, which included no fewer than eight birdies but was spoiled somewhat by a double bogey 6 at the 14th.
Browne birdied the second and made a strong run from the ninth – the first of five successive birdies before his run came to an end with a bogey at the 14th. However he finished off in style with a further birdie at the 16th for a round of 67.
