RAMSAY IMPROVES BUT DOUBLE BOGEY
AND STRING OF BOGEYS DRAG HIM
DOWN TO MISS THE US CUT AGAIN

Richie Ramsay improved by four shots in his second round in the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village, Ohio but a 73 for 150 was certain to miss the halfway cut (computer projection for the cut: 146) on the US PGA Tour for the second week in a row.
The US amateur champion from Aberdeen did look more like his old self today with birdies at the first, fourth, sixth, 12th and 15th. But it was a double bogey 7 at the 11th plus single bogeys at the fifth, eighth, 14th and 17th that dragged him down.
To survive at this level - and that must be Richie's aim - he has to reduce the flow of bogeys. If you don't birdie a hole on the PGA Tour, then you must do no worse than par it.
Aussie Adam Scott showed the kind of score that was on in these conditions when he shot a 12-under-par 62 - not surprisingly, the lowest of his career, amateur or professional - to lead at 12-under-par 132.
It looked like "Australia Day" at the top of the leaderboard with Scott leading from compatriots Rod Pampling and Aaron Baddeley.
But Bubba Watson, still to finish his second round, was relatively on the same 12 under par mark overall as Adam Scott with four holes to play.
