AUSSIE ZIONS LEADS EUROPEAN TOUR
EVENT AT ANDALUCIA, SPAIN

Matthew Zions, a 28-year-old Denver, Colorado-based Australian, who came through all three stages of the European Tour Qualifying School last year, was the surprise leader on seven-under-par 65 at the end of the first round of the Valle Romano Open de Andalucia at Aloha Golf Club on Span's Costa del Sol today.
He led by one shot from American-based Spaniard, Alejandro Canizares.
