EUROPEAN SENIOR AMATEURS TEAM CHP

SCOTS SENIORS SHARE THIRD PLACE
IN FINLAND

The four home countries dominated the first qualifying round of the European senior men’s amateur team golf championship at Ruuhikoski Golf Club in Finland.
England (367) led from Ireland (375) with Scotland, Wales and Spain in joint third place on 379.
Donald McCart was Scotland’s top scorer with a 72, followed by Ian Hutcheon with a 74 and Brian Grieve a 76.
The top eight teams after today’s second qualifying round will make up the championship match-play flight.
