PGA EUROPRO TOUR

ROSS TOP SCOT AT MOLLINGTON
 
Ross Cameron from Ellon is the top Scot after the opening round of the latest event on the PGA EuroPro Tour, the GMS Classic at Mollington Golf Club, Chester. Cameron birdied the fifth and 11th for a two-under-par 69 to be in joint 11th place.
Aberdonian Graham Gordon birdied the third and fifth but bogeyed the ninth and 15th in returning a 71 to be tied for 45th place.
Only the top 50 after Thursday's second round will go forward. Colin Mitchell from Blairgowrie had a double-bogey 6 at the 15th, only partially redeemed with a birdie 2 at the short 17th as he scored a 73 to be sharing 75th place.
Jason Dransfield (Royal Liverpool) and Welshman David Price share the lead on six-under 65.
