Dean Robertson maintained the leading Scottish challenge with a 71 for three-under-par 141 in the second round of the PGA EuroPro Tour’s Stoke by Nayland International Open at the
Robertson is in joint eighth place, four shots behind leader Guy Woodman, going into the final round.
Dean birdied the second, fifth, eighth, 11th and 15th but bogeyed the third, seventh, ninth and 14th in halves of 36 and 35.
Colin Mitchell from Blairgowrie and Paul Doherty (Vale of Glamorgan) qualified safely on level par 144, Mitchell with a 70 and Doherty with a 71.
Colin was moving well up the leaderboard when he birdied the third, fifth, seventh and 15th. Then he bogeyed the 17th and 18th.
Late finisher Ross Cameron from Ellon beat the cut with nothing to spare with a 72 for 145. A double bogey 7 at the 16th put the pressure on him but he parred the last two to reach the safety mark.
Graeme Brown from Montrose had a nightmare round of 76 to miss the cut on 147. Graeme had double bogeys at the eighth, ninth and 13th. A bag of five birdies gave him a respectable score.
