MARK HALLIDAY WINS GERALD 
 
MICKLEM CUP AT SUNNINGDALE

Royal Aberdeen member Mark Halliday scored one of the biggest victories of his golfing career over the Sunningdale New
Course, Berkshire today (FRIDAY) when he won the prestigious Gerald Micklem Cup by four strokes over two rounds.
Halliday, pictured with the trophy, had rounds of 72 and 66 for two-under-par total of 138 over a course which has an SSS of 73 and a CSS of 74 for both rounds.
The tournament was restricted to players aged 35 and over

*Gerald Hugh Micklem CBE (August 14, 1911 – May 21, 1988) was a leadingEnglish amateur golfer and administrator. He played in four Walker Cup matches between 1947 and 1955 and was non-playing captain in 1957 and 1959.
