Ayrshire teenager Jack Broun leads by two

with 18 holes to go at windy Portlethen

Eighteen-year-old Jack Broun from Ayrshire leads the North-east District Open by two strokes with the fourth and final round still to be played at a windy Portlethen later this afternoon.

Broun, pictured, a member at Turnberry and Ayr Belleisle, has had rounds of 69, 66 and 73, running up a 6 at the 18th third time round for an eight-under-par tally of 208.
His nearest rival is former Scottish champion Euan McIntosh (Turnhouse) who gained four strokes on the leader with a third-round 69 for 210.
Adam Dunton (McDonald Ellon) 213, Mark Halliday (Royal Aberdeen) 214 and Gary Esson (Portlethen) 215 lead the home challenge.
