FRANK COUTTS CHALKS
UP 32 YEARS AS A PRO.
Frank Coutts, pictured today with his wife Sheila, has completed 32 years as a professional, almost all of them at Deeside Golf Club as head professional and Director of Golf.
He was appointed Captain of PGA Scotland in 2018.
As an amateur player, it is fair to say that Frank was almost Walker
Cup standard.

Shona Malcolm, CA, Regional Manager of the PGA in Scotland, writes:
Frank is 59 years old. He qualified as a professional while attached to Murcar Links in 1987 and moved to Deeside Golf Club, of which he was a junior then adult member as an amateur, on March 1, 1989.
He was appointed Vice-Captain of the PGA in Scotland (an ex- officio role) in 2017 and also became a committee member in 2017/18 which gives him a voting say in proceedings.
When you speak to his fellow members, without fail they will tell you that Frank was a "proper player" in his day 😊.
