KRIS NICOL SCORES SIXTH NORTH-EAST

 ALLIANCE WIN OF SEASON AT KINTORE

Kris Nicol (Dunes Golf Centre) chalked up his fifth NE Alliance victory in six successive starts and his sixth in all this season with a one-under-par 69 in relentess rain at Kintore Golf Club today.
Highlights of his round were birdie-eagle consecutive figures at the 14th and 15th in an inward half of three-under 31.
His earlier wins were achieved at Strathlene, Peterhead, Buckpool, Montrose and Spey Bay.
Clubmate Sam Griffiths was runner-up, five strokes behind Nicol with a 74, in a field of  49, one of the smallest on record at a NE Alliance fixture.
