AMY YANG CLICKETY-CLICKS AGAIN

Amy Yang, the two-time champion of the Honda LPGA Thailand, shot a second consecutive round of 6-under 66 in Round 3. Sitting in solo first and with victory in sight, Yang can’t seem to explain why Thailand has been the site of two of her three LPGA Tour wins.
“I really don't know. Only thing I know is I'm enjoying this tournament and I enjoy this golf course so much. That's it,” said Yang, who hit 10 of 14 fairways and 15 of 18 greens in regulation on Saturday. “I played so solid today. Hit a lot of solid shots and made some good putts out there. I feel good. I played we;; today.”

Jenny Shin made two bogeys through her first five holes, struggling to make putts on her round Saturday. The second-round leader finally managed to make birdie on the par-5 7th, but couldn’t get back to even par until she reached No. 17.
“I was okay after those two birdies. It was a grind on the front nine but I was optimistic until the end and was rewarded with an eagle,” said Shin who has Travis Wilson, Stacy Lewis’ caddie, on her bag this week. “I had lots of fun with my caddie today. More than the last two rounds. It would’ve been tough without much laughter to get through.”
Things turned around just in the nick of time on No. 18 when she holed out for eagle from 60 yards using a 58-degree sand wedge.
“I got goosebumps all over when I heard the crowd!! It was a phenomenal feeling! It almost washed away all my frustration from my lip outs today,” exclaimed Shin, currently solo third at -13.

NELLY KORDA LOOKING FOR BACK-TO-BACK WIN

Last week’s winner of the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, Nelly Korda shot up nine spots on the leaderboard to a tie for fourth after shooting one of the day’s low round score of 6-under 66 for an overall score of -12.
“I'm just hitting it really solid and just have a bit more confidence obviously coming off of last week,” said Korda who, with a win, would be the first player to win back-to-back tournaments since Shanshan Feng won the 2017 TOTO Japan Classic and Blue Bay LPGA. “Obviously [Jessica] is really upset she can't be here. No, I know she's been watching on TV and she's a little jealous that I'm out here and she's home on the other side of the earth. But, yeah, going to take it day by day.”

BROOKE HENDERSON TAKES FULL ADVANTAGE OF THAI FOOT MASSAGES

Brooke Henderson, along with fellow competitors in the field, have taken full advantage of the convenient and inexpensive Thai foot massages this week. Henderson, currently tied in seventh with four other players (Yu Liu, Carlota Ciganda, Danielle Kang and Lizette Salas), finished her round and revealed her plans to unwind and kick her feet up.
“Foot massage. Pretty excited about that,” Henderson said after she carded another 6-under 66 round. “Dinner, rest, and get ready for tomorrow.”
Henderson’s best Honda LPGA Thailand finish is T7 in 2018 where she finished 16-under par.
