HAY MISSES QUEENSLAND CUT BUT SIM
IN T18 POSITION
Gavin Hay from Grantown on Spey missed the halfway cut by eight strokes with a pair of four-over-par 74s for a total of 148 in the Queensland PGA championship at the City Golf Club today (Friday).
Hay's halves were 37-37 in the first round and 34-40 in the second.
Aberdeen-born Michael Sim fared much better than Hay. He is in joint 18th position after rounds of 68 and 67 for 135 - eight strokes behind the leader by two: Australian Lincoln Tighe (64-63).
