McIntosh in triple tie for first place at Staysure Senior Tour Q School Stage 1
Turnhouse Golf Club amateur Euan McIntosh figured in a triple tie for first place at the Staysure Senior Tour Qualifying School Stage 1 at Gramacho Golf Course, Lagoa on the Algarve.
McIntosh had scores of 68 and 70 for a total of 138 which was matched by Canadian David Morland (68-70) and American John Inman (67-71).
Scots Andrew Plunkett (80-80) and Robert Hunter (84-77) missed the cut in T54 and 58th positions.
At the Silves course, Ter-chang Lang (Taiwan), with a pair of 68s, headed the 23 qualifiers with tallies of 143 and better.
Scots Paul Blaikie (74-71), tied 27th, and Alan Tait (72-74), tied 30th, missed the cut.
A third Scot, Mike Lang retired after a 75 at Silves.
