ROSES ARE RED, JUSTIN IS GOOD

Things are going well for Justin Rose. Like, really, really well. The defending FedExCup champion already had a couple solo-third finishes early in this PGA TOUR Regular Season, but on Sunday he grabbed the trophy at the Farmers Insurance Open, one of the toughest tests on the schedule. It was his 10th win on the US PGA TOUR, which includes two World Golf Championships and a memorable Memorial victory at Jack’s place.
The sweet-swinging Rose entered the final round with a 3-shot lead and didn’t let up, finishing with a 3-under 69 and a two-shot victory. Rose was also playing with some extra emotion.
His longtime caddie Mark Fulcher underwent successful heart surgery on Jan. 17, so Rose hired on Gareth Lord as his temporary looper (Lord worked for Henrik Stenson for years). Rose's last 12 months? 21 starts, 20 made cuts, eight top-3s, three wins, one FedExCup. Gulp.
