Ballybunion hosts Home Internationals

The Ladies and Girls Home International Matches will this year be hosted by Ballybunion Golf Club, Co. Kerry from August 8th to 10th.
 
Celebrating its 125th year, Ballybunion is considered one of the finest links courses in the world and after being remodelled by five-time Champion Golfer of the Year Tom Watson in 1995, it hosted The Irish Open in 2000 and the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2004. It hosted Jacques Leglise Trophy for the first time in its history in 2017 when the Continent of Europe defeated Great Britain and Ireland 15½-9½.
 
Ireland were crowned champions at the Ladies’ Home Internationals after defeating England 5-4 in the deciding match at Little Aston, near Birmingham. While in 2016, the Irish Girls were victorious in the Girls Home Internationals.
 
The teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales compete against each other in individual matches. Each match consists of three foursomes in the morning and six singles in the afternoon.
