IRELAND at WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
 
Scots Connie Jaffrey (Troon Ladies) and Shannon McWilliam (Aboyne) both returned one-over-par 74s but Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) had a disappointing 77 in the first round of the Espirito Santo Trophy women's world amateur golf championship at Carton House, Ireland today (Wed).
Yuka Yasuda (Japan) leads the field of 170 players with an eight-under 65.
Ireland's Olivia Mehaffey is in joint eighth position overnight with a 70, one ahead of compatriot Annabel Wilson.
