Baberton player Waugh beaten in final of 

Eden Tournament at St Andrews

Baberton scratch player Douglas Waugh lost by 2 and 1 to Sean Foster, a member of Houghton le Spring Golf Club at Copt Hill, Tyne and Wear, in the final of the Eden Tournament at St Andrews today.
In the morning semi-finals Waugh had KO'd the leading match-play qualifier, Jack Hawksby (Millbrook) by a 2 and 1 margin.
Three-handicapper Foster proved himself the hammer of the Scots because he beat Derek Paton (Dunnikier Park) by 3 and 2 in the other semi-final.
Cameron Robertson (Elderslie), playing off four, lost by 4 and 2 to Josh Banwell, who plays off five of a handicap at Leighton Buzzard, in the semi-finals of the handicap competition, the Eden Tankard. Banwell went on to beat Nicholas Pomeroy (Ross on Wye) (11) 6 and 4 in the final.

Nicholas Pomeroy (Ross on Wye) (11) bt Nigel Paul (Nuneaton) (6) 2 and 1.
FINAL
Banwell bt Pomeroy 6 and 4.
