Newmachar, Royal Aberdeen reach Pennant League Final

Newmachar and Royal Aberdeen, last year's finalists, are again through to the final of the Aberdeen and District Men's Pennant League by winning today's (Sunday) semi-finals.

Title-holders Newmachar beat Murcar Links 3.5-1.5 at Stonehaven Golf Club

in a semi-final full of quality golf with lots of birdies and par-3 holes halved in 2s.
Royal Aberdeen beat Portlethen 3-2 in the other semi-final at Murcar Links where three of the five ties went to the 18th green.

The 2018 Final will be hosted by Deeside Golf Club on Sunday, September 9 with a noon start.

The Aberdeen and District Men's Pennant League is sponsored by the Douglas Hotel's Molly's Bistro and Malone's Bar.

Graham Innes and Donald Smith bt Daniel Sim and Donald Macandrew, sen. 2 holes.
Robbie Murdoch and Keith Horne bt Grant Joss and Bill Barclay 2 holes.
Stephen Cook and Malcolm Thomson lost to Mike Wilson and John Johnston 1 hole.
