REPORT FROM JOHN HENRY
For our event today at Forfar Golf Club - the Golf Finance Summer Series Event 5 - we were warmly welcomed by head secretary Stuart Wilson, the 2004 British amateur champion and Walker Cup player.
The course, measuring at 6170 yards with narrow, tree-lined fairways with some thick rough to make it a little bit more testing, was in fantastic condition and a very tricky course indeed!
Not tricky enough however for our Golf Finance Summer Series no.1 Paul O'Hara who blasted in a magnificent score of six-under-par 63, even with a lost ball double bogey on hole 10! Very impressive.
He won by two strokes from runner-up Mark Hillson.
Massive thanks to all at Forfar for hosting us and as always Golf Finance for sponsoring.
Our next event is at Longniddry GC on Sunday 1st July 3-4pm tee times and is now available to enter .
