NORTHERN PLAYERS TO THE FORE IN ABERDEEN
LINKS SENIORS’ CHAMPIONSHIP FIRST ROUND
DEREK JOHNSTONE REPORTS
Northern’s
Steve Forsyth and George Paterson lead the race to win the Aberdeen Links Senior
Championship after posting three-over 70s at the weather-beaten Kings Links
today.
One shot behind, and very much in
contention, are Caledonian’s Stewart Finnie and Dave Mullen.
In the handicap
competitions, not unexpectedly, the scoring was low with four players – I
McDougall, A Forbes, W McLeod and Norman Stewart - tied on 64.
The
second and final round is scheduled for next Friday, June 15.
