Frenchmen to the fore in Alps Tour's Guadeloupe Open

Frenchmen Raphael Marguery and Guillaume Cambis took the lead of the Open de Saint-François Région Guadeloupe - a French Caribbean island - to enter the final round of the Alps Tour tournament at the Golf International Saint-François on Saturday at -5.
They’re closely followed by Ivan Cantero Gutierrez (Spain) and Marcus Mohr (England), both aone stroke behind.
« Friday was tough, tough with the heat, tough with the wind, tough with some pin position quite difficult » Marguery said. « I started really well and obviously I had a good finish, only pars, no birdies. It was a good finish and I’m really looking forward to play on Saturday » he added.
Guillaume Cambis could have been the sole leader of the tournament if he had not finished his round with a bogey.
Marguery's caddie is his fiancée, Justine Dreher, a pro player on the LET circuit and Symetra Tour (US).
« I’m here to help him enjoy the tournament, play well and stay focused » Dreher said. « I’m not helping him choose clubs, I’m really here to support him. He knows what he is doing and he does not need my help to know how to play » she added.
«  She plays a lot, she’s got a lot of experience. As a caddie, I use a lot of her advices, it’s a great advantage » Marguery said.
The course was rather difficult with hard greens and a ball difficult to stop. 51 players made the cut set at +7 and will play the final round of the tournament on Saturday.
Weather conditions were sunny with clouds, high winds and temperatures above 30°C.
