McIlroy slumps to a 76 and Fleetwood misses cut by three

Rory McIlroy crashed to a five-over-par 76 in the second round of the Wells Fargo Classic at Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday.
His 36-hole tally of 144 (68-76) leaves him sharing 48th place, nine strokes behind the American leader Peter Mainati (67-68)
McIlroy made it but Tommy Fleetwood did not. He shot a pair of 74s for 148 - three shots too many to retain an active interest in the outcome of the tournament.
