SAM LOCKE'S T3 FINISH AT LYTHAM TROPHY

Scottish amateur champion Sam Locke (Stonehaven) saved his best until last - and a three-under final round of 67 earned him a creditable share of third place in the prestigious Lytham Trophy tournament at Lytham St Annes Golf Club today (Sunday).
Locke's earlier rounds were 68, 75 and 74, which gave him a four-over-par aggregate of 284 over the par-70 Lancashire course.
Englishman Matthew Jordan (Royal Liverpool), who led from the start, made all the running to win by nine strokes with scores of 67, 69, 70 and 66.
Mitch Waite (Filton) was runner-up on 281 with rounds of 72, 66,70 and 73.
