By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Liberton's Kieran Cantley, winner of last weekend's Scottish Champion of Champions tournament at Leven links, is on the rail of an early-season double.
He is one of four players sharing the lead on five-under-par 65 at the end of the first round of the Craigmillar Park Open 72-hole competition at the Edinburgh venue.
Disputing the pole position at the head of a field of 78 competitors with the in-form Cantley are Steven Stewart (Clydebank and District), John Paterson (St Andrews New) and, from over the Border, Sean Heads (Hexham).

Last year's Scottish champion Sam Locke (Stonehaven) is also on the four-under park as is past Scottish U18 boys champion Greg Dalziel (Airdrie).
