Jeff Wright retains North Scottish Alliance championship with a 69 at Nairn Dunbar
+Jeff Wright's failure to attend the prizegiving to receive the championship trophy reminds one of what used to be the practice in Belgium in similar circumstances .... if the trophy winner was not there, the organisers gave it to the next best player who was there!
Jeff Wright (Forres) has won the North Scottish Golfers' Alliance championship for the second year in a row. He retained the Sir Hugh Mackenzie Trophy with a three-under-par 69 at Nairn Dunbar Golf Club today
He headed the field of 84 competitors by three strokes from runner-up Kyle Godsman (Moray).
Wright had an eagle at the downwind 18th and birdies at the fifth, ninth, 14th and 16th, offset by bogeys at the third, fourth and eighth.
Godsman birdied the third, eighth and 18th but bogeyed the fifth, ninth, 16th and 17th.
