Paul Lawrie Foundation and PL Golf Centre to sponsor NE Alliance Orders of Merit final prizes

The Paul Lawrie Foundation and Paul Lawrie Golf Centre will each sponsor prizes for this season's North-east Golfers' Alliance Orders of Merit.

The Foundation will support the Scratch element with the fund break-down as follows - 

1st £250

2nd £150

3rd £100

4th £50

5th £25.

The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre will support both the Class 1 and Class 2 Order of Merit prizes, with each section breaking-down as follows - 

1st £150

2nd £125

3rd £100

The last Orders of Merit points of the 2017-2018 season will be up for grabs at the NE Alliance Championship meeting on March 7 and 14 at Duff House Royal and Portlethen.

Commenting on the sponsorship of the North-east Alliance Orders of Merit, Paul said:

 "We're very happy to be able to support the Alliance in this way.  A lot of the young pros and players that the Foundation assists use the Alliance fixtures to keep competitive over the long winters.  

"Personally, I always found these events very useful in keeping my winter work purposeful and still enjoy competing in events when my schedule allows, so we're very happy to be able to offer the prizes for performances throughout the season."

Craig Dempster, Director of Golf at the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre, added: "The North-east Alliance provides opportunities for keen golfers to meet in a friendly, competitive environment so I'm glad we're able to provide sponsorship for both the Class 1 and Class 2 Orders of Merit.  "In addition, the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre will offer any North-east Alliance member the use of 100 range balls for the price of 50 on Monday and Tuesday evenings, to help them to get their swing honed ahead of Wednesday fixtures.  

"This offer will be available between 4pm - 8pm from now until the Orders of Merit are decided."  

Alliance members only need to show their membership cards in order to access this special offer.
